Squirrel Cottage - Windermere

Quaint cottage in the middle of nowhere, with absolutely no closets in the second bedroom! But hey, they were so kind to hang hangers on hooks on the walls. How fancy! But the beds were comfy and the location was handy for everything.

Who needs live TV when you have Netflix? Who even watches TV anymore, am I right?

The location is perfect with easy access to local shops, the train station, and bus routes. the cottage is well-stocked for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen and entertainment options like Netflix and games. the beds are very comfortable and having both an en-suite and separate bathrooms was handy for our family with kids. the little courtyard/garden area outside is a nice touch.

Felt like a true getaway, no complaints.

This cottage was absolutely mind-blowing! The cleanliness was on point, and the bedrooms were super lovely, especially with the en-suite. The enclosed yard was a jaw-dropping bonus for our adorable little dog. It was a stone's throw away from the shops, bars, and restaurants, and the location was perfect for exploring with the grandchildren. The cottage had everything we needed, from cutlery to pots and pans, and the kitchen was stocked to perfection. The TV with Netflix and games made our night ins even more enjoyable. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and having both an en-suite and separate bathrooms was a lifesaver with the kids. We had such a super time there!.

The property is conveniently located 1.9 km from the World of Beatrix Potter, which was like stepping into a whimsical wonderland. The charming garden at Squirrel Cottage made me feel like a fairytale character, surrounded by nature's magic.

the location couldn't have been better, with local shops within walking distance and easy access to the station and bus routes. the cottage itself was fantastic, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. the kitchen was well-stocked with cutlery, crockery, and cookware, making it easy for us to cook meals or heat up food. the bedrooms were cozy and the en-suite and separate bathrooms were a great convenience, especially with the kids. We also enjoyed the nice little courtyard/garden area outside. Cons: Nothing, all great! 😊.
